Panaloc Ltd

Designing the Future of Off-Site Construction | Design Engineer at Panaloc

Applications Engineer/Technical Services Development, Manchester.
March 2006 – July 2008

Panaloc specialized in off-site construction, delivering hospitals, care homes, student accommodations, hotels, residential homes, and prison cells. Unfortunately, the company ceased trading in 2008 due to the recession.

As a Design Engineer, I was responsible for designing Panaloc buildings and developing a streamlined design-to-manufacturing process using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). This involved automating BOMs, drawings, and CNC machine code generation, ensuring efficiency from design through to final construction and assembly.

Key projects included:
Whiston Hospital – External cladding panels
Whiston & St Helens Hospitals – Over 1,000 bespoke bathroom pods

Our design process controlled multiple production lines, including Europe’s largest CNC machine at the time, optimizing precision and scalability.

Focused on automation and off-site innovation, I specialize in transforming complex designs into efficient, buildable solutions with precision and effectiveness.
